Many different states have many different kinds of laws pertaining to the use and operation of a motorized vehicle. Most of these laws are designed to keep our highways free from death, injury, and traffic jams. Even with the importance of these laws some states have created some rather bizarre laws for that are specific for their area. Here are some strange driving laws and most expensive tickets that you can find in America.

1. In the state of Alabama if you drive blindfolded you could be arrested for this act.
2. In California a woman cannot wear a housecoat while she drives.
3. In Florida you can hit a pedestrian and just have to pay a $78 fine.
4. In Maryland swearing from a vehicle is a misdemeanor.
5. In Oregon you have to yield to pedestrians when you drive on the sidewalk.
6. In South Carolina it’s illegal to store trash in your car.

Now keep in mind that these laws are usually for certain cities within the state but not the whole state itself. Some of the strange laws do apply for the whole entire state as well. Now for the most expensive tickets a city in the United Kingdom by the name of Helsinki issues tickets based off of your income. A high ranking CEO by the name of Anssi Vanjoki paid a fine of 103,600.

Regardless of the kind of laws that there are just keep in mind that when you’re driving you must have insurance. For example, having Minnesota auto insurance is helpful especially if get nailed for leaving dirt, mud, and sticky substances on the road. This is another strange driving law that is worth mentioning. Be safe on the road and know the law even if they are strange and unusual.
